Morocco's team preparing for Mexico 70

After having qualified for the Mexican World Cup in the nick of time, the Moroccan team entered the pitch at the Stade de Léon on June 3, 1970, to face West Germany of Uwe Seeler and Gerd Müller in Group IV. A great moment for African football since it was the first time that a nation from this continent was represented at the World Cup. And the Germans were going to struggle against the Atlas Lions during this match since Morocco, to everyone's surprise, opened the scoring through their striker Houmane Jarir . The Mannschaft finally won 2-1 but the Atlas Lions gave the German stars a hard time. The Moroccans are also doing rather well in Mexico, not looking too stupid with two honorable defeats (1-2 West Germany and 0-3 Peru) and a draw against Bulgaria (1-1). A point that is worth a victory in the final table for the Moroccan people.
